Leather is natural, it’s an animal skin and it needs to be looked after and maintained, it should be cleaned and moisturized on a regular basis. Spills, stains and dyes from clothing etc. will soak into the leather if not cared for correctly and we recommend that once leather is cleaned a leather conditioner and protector is applied.

At the quotation stage we will inspect your leather sofa and armchairs using a small microscope and check for wear any pre existing damage. We will also be able to answer any questions you may have about the process.

At Dudley Leather cleaning we use specialist professional solutions to clean and condition your leather. The cleaning process is carried out by hand, there are no machines used in this procedure ensuring a delicate but thorough clean.  Leather protection is also available and is applied after your sofa has been cleaned.

A leather conditioner should be applied at least four times per year to restore moisture and provide a protective barrier against soil, this helps prevent dye transfer, drying out and cracking of your leather. Leather protection is also available and is applied after your sofa has been cleaned.

Don’t use baby wipes or any household chemicals on your leather suite, these may cause the leather to dry out and could result in cracks appearing and premature wear.

We advise using a damp towel once a week or so to wipe your leather over, this will remove some surface dust, grease, dirt and will put a little moisture back into the leather.
